New Year’s Bingo
Every year on New Year’s Eve
it is a family tradition of ours that we sit around playing bingo . We prepare by each family going out to the stores and buying cheap novelty type gifts
nothing expensive
just small items. Then about three hours before the big ball drops
we begin our games. For those who don’t know
online bingo is a game where each person receives a card with the letters B-I-N-G-O across the top
and a row of numbers below each letter. The “Caller” will
in our case
spin a ball roller which will drop out a ball containing a number and letter. If you have the number listed under the letter on your card
you use a marker to mark off that number. Once you’ve gotten a full line of numbers marked off
you yell “BINGO!” and receive a prize. Our family will get creative with the game
and we will make up unique ways to play. Such as an “X
” where you have to mark off two full diagonal lines
or we will play to cross off “four corners” or a “T.” We have so much fun with this tradition
we play until the prizes are gone and the ball drops!
